Downtown Cuba City

Downtown the City of Presidents

Located along busy State Highway 81, downtown Cuba City is bustling with activity and displays of Cuba City’s small-town charm. 5.200 cars pass through Cuba City each day. Known as the "Parade of Presidents," 46 shields – containing each president’s name, silhouette, term in office, and birth state – line Main Street and add a patriotic theme to our Downtown.

In addition to the presidential shields, Cuba City’s downtown is home to two award-winning specialty food stores, 5 antique shops, a full-service grocery store, and 7 full-service restaurants and bars. Check out the City's Main Street Attractions and Award Winners

Cuba City was recognized in 2017 as the State of Wisconsin's Best Downtown Revitalization for a City under 5,500 residents. In 2020, Cuba City was recognized by AARP with a Community Challenge Grant that allowed the City to revamp the area around the Caboose into a Presidential Plaza. This project was awarded a second Best Downtown Revitalization Award as well as a Top Rural Development Initiative Award from Wisconsin Rural Partners.

Downtown Cuba City plays host to events year-round, including the Cuba City Community Market, the Cuba City Christmas Glow Celebration, the Small Business Saturday Shopping event, a St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Power Pull Weekend.
